Let’s Get Intimate

In this time of evolution at yRespira, I wanted to reach out and share some intimate moments with you over the next few weeks. In the upcoming writings, I’ll be bringing you into the world of my SELFNESS Conservatory with personal experiences and what better place to start than talking about Our little Enchanted Casita….

This little Enchanted Casita….

It has been a childhood dream to own a Mystical Cottage. I never lost the hope that Magic exists and our Dreams could be our reality. When Victoria was born it was too much too be a mom and run a studio so I decided to close down the studio. Then Chris casually suggested that I build in the backyard an I immediately was said "Yes!" And if you know me, then you know when my mind is set. That is all I need.

So I got my permit and made it happen. Step by step by step. But of course it was not that easy. The first person I hired, built my foundation and then took my money and ran. So I put it out into the Universe that I wished I would have asked John (an old neighbor of mine) to build it and while I was driving home from our 2nd location (just 3 minutes away from the old location) there was John at the gas station.

I pulled right in, asked him, and within 2 weeks it was done.

Thru the years the studio and I have heard many stories, good, not so good, created connections, lost connections, experienced betrayals and greed alongside truth and well honesty, and more  reconnections. So many tears that have shed and laughter that has laughed…. It is truly a magical experience for myself and those who have entered the Spirit of this little Purple Cottage.

As other Spirits have come and gone the one true essence that has always remained is that it has been here to hold the space of Truth. Many many Truths. I guess you are learning that my greatest pet peeve is dishonesty. I don't understand how people can say one thing and behave another way. So my understanding as I write this is... that I essentially have created a space where people can feel safe and vulnerable enough to be themselves.

We have experienced how others behave when they feel honest and true to themselves inside our space and observed how others act outside of the studio. Communication with ourselves is essential. Over and over again.

Tell me, if you have a place for you that holds the space of Truth that you can rely on?

A Purple Place of Truth at the Enchanted Casita.

To protect my peace, I know, I must always practice what I preach. I know SelfNess is Mandatory, so I make it a point to constantly re-tune my SPINE. To allow for proper shifting and to communicate these shifts to others. This allows me to hold the space for others as they walk their path. I say we must know our inner worlds, our landscape, our relationship with our roots, ancestors, parents, siblings and our reflection of our inner world with La Naturaleza (Nature).

As the years have passed, I have become more and more as the Keeper of La Casita. This sweet purple Cottage now has it's own Orenda. It is my job and my purpose to allow the energies of others to simply flow in and out of the studio. To maintain a clear space so that La Casita which is very much my soul in a dwelling place remains open. I can only do this because I am an advocate of being a plumber with good pipes and living my Truths.

Once we know our innerworkings, we better understand ourselves .Then we can learn to coexist peacefully with others. It is our responsibility to know ourselves Inside and Out. It is always an honor to hear from students that have crossed paths how much they miss that “little purple cottage”. Bc it means to me, how much they miss themselves and their eagerness to reconnect; Not with me, not with the purple casita, but with themselves.


We have all made mistakes, hurt others, ourselves, and at times given up, that is all part of our journeys.  I love knowing that it is never too late to turn our lives in the direction that allows us to be a better version of ourselvs. It can be intimidating and humbling to take time to know ourselves, but when we do, In a safe place, nestled among the Standing People and caressed by the Winds of Time, then not only will we know ourselves, we will love ourselves enough to love all around us, with less judgement and more discernment. And this inturn is what makes the world a better place to grow old in.
