The Empowering Winnie

I am so grateful that during these tricky past 2 years, we have been able to stay afloat as many locations have had to close doors. I know much of it has to do with the relationships we have built in such a small, yet rich place that is embraced by those willing to do the consistent hard work of authentically communicating their needs and what areas we can do better for one another.
All times are touchy and emotions are always running rampantly up and down and all around and if we can’t share with one another, then what can we really do?

Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. said it beautifully with “Life’s most persistent and urgent question is, ‘What are you doing for others?’

I say first, what are we knowing and doing for ourselves to stay on our paths so that we may help others more clearly.
SelfNess is something that I love teaching and taking the proper steps to take our yoga off the mat and into the world is one of the few things that we can do for the rest of our lives. And not only our lives but for others in the world, which is why humans is humans an not singular. When we are not living an authentic life, we are cheating the world.
It is always refreshing when graduates continue on their betterness into themselves thru what they learned during training and life.
Megan’s Selfness act of leaving her full time job led her to a Braveness and Guiltless Reward of having the opportunity to guide others into their own personal paths of Self Discovery thru the art of Yoga.

Megan described teaching as….“It brings me great joy to guide people through a practice that has such a far-reaching impact on overall health and wellbeing.”

What I appreciate about Megan is her ability to make things simple, fun, and bring a confidence to the students that is embraced with knowledge and thoughtful consideration of what poses will be helpful to the students practice into the world.
She is also one that walks the talk and lives her yoga on and off the mat.

Yoga for us, is not just about poses. It is more than that. It is about living a life where we can be fearless and free of shame of our choice and actions. I say if we can’t share it then we shouldn’t be doing it. There is no Guilt here. Megan followed her heart-path this past year and shifted into a world of self discovery thru jumping into her dreams of taking Yoga Teacher Training. She has been attending classes here since 2014 but began her practice back in the 90’s. It was her go to to stress management and self care, physically and mentally. It wasn’t her original plan to teach but enjoys helping others greatly.

As my schedule has begun to have less availability, which is always a catch 22, it brings me a sigh of relief that we have a great tribe here.
We have our Spiritual Minister & Guide, Catherine and Planet Peace with Jules, (where you can physically take your Karma Yoga into the world) on our team. And now we have Megan to confidently guide others in private Selfness Yoga sessions.

When asked what Megan looks forward to teaching most, she states “ In a private lesson, students can expect to have a well rounded practice that targets specific areas that need some extra love and attention. Private sessions allow plenty of time for fine-tuning alignment, deepening the poses, and working on goals unique to the individual student. Students can expect to be both challenged and supported. I get to know each student so that the practice is targeted to their individual needs, whether that means more stretch versus strength, or focusing on specific areas or muscle groups.”

"You're braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think." says Winnie the Pooh. And to be honest with you, thru Megan’s personal journey and experience I can hear this all too clearly in her voice and this is why I have so much confidence in Megan and her ability to guide others.

If you are interested in working one on one with Megan, please reach out to us here to schedule time.
